Statement Issued by the Board of Directors of the Yasser Arafat Foundation

At its most recent meeting, the Board of Directors of the Yasser Arafat  Foundation reviewed and evaluated the events marking the 21st anniversary of the martyrdom of the founding president, as well as the 61st anniversary of the launch of our contemporary revolution. On this ocasion, the Board extends its deepest pride and admiration to our steadfast and resilient people in Gaza, the West Bank including Jerusalem, and to our communities in near and distant exile, for their loyalty to Abu Ammar. Through honoring his life, martyrdom, and unwavering commitment to national principles, they have kept his legacy alive as a guiding light for national action, a role model, and a banner passed from generation to generation—until the day one of our young men or women raises the Palestinian flag over the walls, minarets, and churches of Jerusalem.
