The Board of Directors of the Yasser Arafat Foundation, following the recommendation of the award committee, has decided to withhold the 2025 Yasser Arafat Achievement Award.

This marks the first time the award has been suspended since it was launched in 2007. The decision comes in light of the severe conditions the country is experiencing, ongoing aggression, genocide, widespread destruction, settlement expansion, and blockade. The Foundation hopes the committee will resume its regular work and reopen nominations for next year’s award.
