Together with its fourteenth session of the Board of Trustees, the Yasser Arafat Foundation held in Cairo on 10th Feb. 2023 the 6th Forum for dialogue, titled, "The Israeli Government and the Emerging Challenges" chaired by Dr. Mamdouh Al-Abadi( Head of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation).

The dialogue, titled: “The Israeli Government and the emerging Challenges,” was moderated by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Dr. Mamdouh Al-Abadi, and the President of the Palestinian National Council, Rowhi Fattouh, former Jordanian Minister Samir Habashneh, Chairman of the

High Follow-up Committee for the Arab Citizens in the Occupied Territories, Muhammad Baraka, and member of the Egyptian Parliament, Dr. Samir Ghattas, in addition to other members of the Board of Trustees.

The encounters revolved around the present Israeli government which can be described as the worst of its kind that has existed up to now and who is taking immediate decisions towards accelerating the growth of the colonial settlements.

The participants expressed their gratitude to Egypt, Algeria, and South Africa for their stance against the Israeli policies and warned against the accelerated process to expand colonial settlements which are going to create a combustive situation amongst the Palestinian population. They also stressed the fact that the Palestinian cause must be communicated to the world and must restore its primacy in the Arab and international arenas. Palestine regains its status as the priority to the Arab world upon which relations with other countries will be shaped.

The participants called for enhancing the fortitude of the Palestinian people who have been withstanding the occupation policies and measures on their land. They also stressed the importance of adhering to the Arab Peace Initiative by rejecting the attempts that aim at going around it through normalization and regional initiatives which ignore a just solution for the Palestinians.

It was also underlined during the meeting that normalization with Israel cannot be conducive to Palestine as some may unjustifiably claim because this process is regarded as a stab in the back of the Palestinian cause and an acceptance to shed the blood of Palestinians.  Normalization is a reward to the occupation authority which commits all acts of horror against our people including summary executions, colonial settlements, detention camps, and closures as well as reoccupying the Palestinian towns in area A, ongoing incursions to areas that fall under complete Palestinian control while carrying out killings, arrests and various crimes in addition to the annexation of more land and the expansion of colonial settlements.
The speakers also extended their deepest condolences to the earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey.
The forum was attended by:

Ambassador Dr. Saeed Abu Ali (Assistant Secretary-General for Palestine and the Occupied Arab Territories Affairs at the Arab League), Diab Al-Louh, (Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Egypt and its permanent delegate at the Arab League), members of the Board of Trustees of the Yasser Arafat Foundation in addition to several Arab and international figures.
