In coordination with the Committee of Fatah Movement and the students at the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM), the Embassy of Palestine in Cuba inaugurates the new statue of Yasser Arafat.  Attending the celebration were the dean of the Medicine College, teachers and employees, Palestinian Ambassador to Cuba Akram Samhan, representatives of the national Palestinian factions and a group of Palestinian, Arab and foreign students. 

Ambassador Samhan highlighted the depth of the historical relations between Palestine and Cuba, affirming the need to develop and strengthen them for the benefit of the two countries.
