Board of Trustees of Yasser Arafat Foundation holds an exceptional meeting in Ramallah

The Board of Trustees of YAF held an exceptional meeting in Ramallah, headed by Dr. Nabil Shaath, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of YAF on behalf of Dr. Amro Mousa, Chairman of the Board, who left Palestine after the opening ceremony of Yasser Arafat Museum. 
Dr. Nasser Alkidwa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of YAF, talked about the significance of the inauguration of Yasser Arafat Museum that presents the national identity and narrative of the late president who spent his life fighting for freedom of his country.
During the meeting, members expressed their appreciation for the valuable contribution of the Board of Directors, Museum Committee and the staff of the Foundation and the Museum.  In addition, they also discussed the important role of the Museum that presents a national and educational setting for youth as well as preserves the Palestinian contemporary national memory.  Members also mentioned the annual meeting of the Foundation taking place in Cairo next February. 
At the end of the meeting, members highlighted the importance of regaining unity, politically and geographically, and ending the division that negatively affects Palestinians and hinders the possibilities of ending the occupation.  The meeting also focused on the issue of Jerusalem, the eternal Capital of Palestine, and the need to give it more attention and enhance the status of Jerusalem.
