The Yasser Arafat Foundation has released the 37th issue (Summer 2025) of its quarterly magazine "Awraq Filistinia" through its online platform.
The editorial of this issue, written by the Foundation's management, is titled "National Unity... The Means and the Path." It emphasizes the critical importance of national unity for the Palestinian people, linking it with the geographical unity of the state. This is particularly significant as we face a more challenging phase that demands strengthening our ranks and finding common ground with all political factions, civil society, and groups to unify the Palestinian voice and the tools of struggle.
The main theme of this issue is titled Palestine... The Diary of the Day After. In this file, researcher Abdel Ghani Salama contributed with an article titled The Future of Gaza After the War, while Egyptian writer Shadha Yahya wrote From Tehran to Gaza: The Twelve-Day War and Ethnic Cleansing. On the other hand, Aliyan Hindi wrote about The West Bank... The Day After, and Hana Mohamed discussed Gazan Women Amid the Genocidal War. The article "First Year of Genocide"... War Diaries by poet Naima Hassan was featured, written by Bedi'a Zidan. The final piece in this section was by writer Amin Khaled Darawsheh, titled War Stories and Light: Gaza Refuses to Die.
In the Intellectual Papers section, the magazine featured an article by Hussam Abu al-Nasr titled The Dialectic Between Narrative and History in Palestine. Abdel Qader Yassin's piece was titled Palestinian Intellectuals: A Phase of Accumulation and Fruition. Hussein Diq’s article was Destruction of Cultural Heritage in Gaza as a Crime Under International Law, and Essam Halaika wrote The Linguistic and Cultural Commonality Between Arabic and Ugaritic.
The Memory Papers section included an article by researcher Aziz al-Asa titled Dr. Faisal Daraj in His Book "To Be a Palestinian: Fragments of an Autobiography". Mohamed al-Bareem contributed with a reading of the book Kamall Adwan... A Man in the Revolution... and a Revolution in a Man.
In the Cultural Papers section, Khaled Jumaa wrote about The Story of Deir al-Balah: A Review from Gaza, About Gaza, and for Gaza. Youssef al-Shayeb’s article was titled The Theater of Freedom: When Cinema Documents the Story of a Cultural Resistance Site. Hussam Ma'ruf wrote Gaza Publications... Closer to a Scream than a Publishing House, and Taha Yaqin’s contribution was The Meaning of Victory: Our Survival. The article Now, the Afternoon was written by Inam Suleiman.
In the Books and Reports section, Mohannad Yassin wrote The War on Gaza in the Documents of Closed Rooms, and Amira Mahmoud contributed with Israel: A State Without Identity. Finally, writer Firas Obeid presented The Dreams of Man in the Collection "Dreams Under the Rubble".
The issue concludes with the Foundation Papers section, prepared by the Public Relations and Media Department, highlighting the Foundation's key activities, including its regular programs, collaborations with national institutions, and the activities and initiatives of the Yasser Arafat Museum.
