2023-05-07

Yasser Arafat summer camps began on Wednesday, 7/5/2023, in five West Bank governorates, and will run for two weeks.

The camps gather 700 children of both sexes aged (9-14). The camps focus on fostering the national culture of the participating children via extracurricular activities including acting, sketching, singing, folk dance, and so on, as well as teaching them the biography of the founding president Yasser Arafat, and reinforcing and solidifying the children's awareness of Palestinian national culture.
For the 7th year in a row, the Foundation is organizing the Yasser Arafat Summer Camps, which are one of the Foundation's major yearly programs.

This year's partners are Salfit Development Associatio in Salfit Governorate, Ein Arik Women Association in Ramallah Governorate, Lajee Center in Aida Camp in Bethlehem Governorate, Habla Charity Association in Qalqilya Governorate, and Hebron Society Development and Empowerment Charity (HSDEC) in Jericho. The camps will be run by Al- Biet Alssamed Foundation and the Right to Live Society in Gaza in the southern governorates.

The Foundation also supports three additional organizations that run summer camps in Yasser Arafat's name.
