The Yasser Arafat Foundation published the 32nd edition of their quarterly magazine "Awraq Filistinia" (Spring 2023).
The issue's editorial includes President Mahmoud Abbas's speech at the United Nations commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Nakba, as well as the text of the speech.
Abdul Ghani Salameh also wrote about the "Nakba" on the 75th anniversary, titled "Developments of the Palestinian Cause in Light of Recent Changes, Appreciating a Position". Marwan Emil Tobasi also published "75 Years of Historical Injustice, the Continuing Nakba, and Current Variables". Shatha Yahya titled her book "Times of Bone Crushing, Walking atop the Wall in Palestine... Jerusalem and reverse engineering, The final stages of realizing Eretz Israel's Dream". In addition, the title of Dr. Walid Salem's was "Between the Open and Continuous Nakba", and Mona Abdel Fattah wrote, "Britain in Palestine, the Story of British Rule 1917-1948". The chapter ended with what Olayan Al Hindi wrote, "Are their New Elites in the Israeli Occupation State".
In the section "Memory Papers", Hind Taher Al-Husseini wrote: "A Model for Managing the Crisis, The Warm Embrace of the Afflicted Children of Deir Yassin" by Aziz Mahmoud Al-Asa, and Asma Al-Gharabawi wrote about the Committee for the Defense of National Culture. A. Hussam Abu Al-Nasr wrote about the experience of the General Union of Palestinian Students, the shield of the PLO in Iraq, and Salah Abdel-Raouf wrote about Jihad Ahmed Saleh, the Palestinian press before 1967.
The beginning of the chapter "Cultural Papers" was “In the Presence of Absence”: Mahmoud Darwish writes the autobiography of his poem by Hassan Najmi, and the "Story of the First Film" .. about the Palestinian film production by Youssef Al-Shayeb. As for the Nakba in the Palestinian novelist's storytelling... "Examples of Badia Zaidan's Constant Presence".
In the chapter "Reports and Books", Dr. Zeenat Abu Shawish wrote about "Sky and Seven Seas" by Naji Al-Naji, an epic work that triumphs for the cause of Palestine, and Fares Saqr wrote about "Al-Tarawida", a television program in which Sana Musa revives the encrypted messages of love, revolution, and freedom.
The issue finished with the "Foundation's Papers", which contained a headline regarding the Foundation's 14th Board of Trustees meeting in Cairo.
It is worth noting that the journal is distributed by individual subscription in Palestine and numerous Arab nations, as well as abroad, and that all issues are available on the Foundation's website.
