Mahmoud Al-Aloul, Vice President of FATH Movement, opened the exhibition "Athar" on the 93rd anniversary of the birth of the founding president, Yasser Arafat, in the exhibition hall of Yasser Arafat Museum on Thursday, 4/8/2022. In the presence of Intisar Al-Wazir Chair of the Museum Committee and Member of the Board of Directors of the Yasser Arafat Foundation, members of the FATH Movement's Central Committee, Palestinian government ministers, and Dr. Ahmed Soboh, Director General of the Yasser Arafat Foundation, members of the Yasser Arafat Foundation's Board of Directors, members of the Museum Committee, and Palestinian and foreign political, cultural, and media figures as well as some recognized nations' ambassadors in Palestine.
Mrs. Intisar Al-Wazir stated that this exhibition was dedicated to a portion of President Yasser Arafat's belongings, particularly those given to him between 2000 and his martyrdom in 2004, the majority of which were from countries and delegations of solidarity during his last siege, and all of which express the broad international solidarity that Palestine received through its besieged president despite the difficult circumstances at the time.
She added that the exhibition includes Abu Ammar's last outfit, as it is, which he wore throughout the previous siege, as well as some pins and flags provided by his solidarity guests. This is the ninth exhibition after (Ammar's Corner, Guardian of our Eternal Flame, Assassination, Uprooting, Poster, Intifada, and Our Land is Our Land). The exhibition will continue until January 15, 2023.
