Intisar Al-Wazir (Umm Jihad) launches her book "Rifaqt Omor"

Intisar Al-Wazir (Um Jihad), member of Yasser Arafat Foundation board of directors, launched Saturday, 05/21/2022, her book "Rifaqt Omor", the memoirs of Intisar Al-Wazir (Umm Jihad), in Al-Muntada Hall at Yasser Arafat Museum in Ramallah.

"This essential book, which was recently released by Umm Jihad, the companion of Abu Jihad's journey, talks about the history of the Palestinian revolution, which was written in blood and struggle," said novelist Yahya Ykhlef, a member of the board of directors of the Yasser Arafat Foundation.
Ykhlef added that the book is significant as a reference for the Palestinian revolution.

Dr. Ahmed Jamil Azm offered an in-depth intervention on the book, stating that it is a production of revolutionary significance and preparation for the future and that the project of this book has been ongoing with Umm Jihad for around 40 years, with his concept beginning after the Beirut war. The book focuses on the 40th anniversary of the Palestinian revolt and covers her trip to Ramle and seeing her cousin Khalil al-Wazir.

Mrs. Intisar al-Wazir (Umm Jihad) recounted her biography and the journey of her struggle alongside with her husband and companion Khalil al-Wazir (Abu Jihad), 
She talked about establishing the first Fatah women's cell and her” temporarily” position as the leader of “Al-Asifa” Forces

 Umm Jihad documented in the book her involvement in women's work, the formation of the General Union of Palestinian Women, and how she managed to balance her roles as a mother, wife, and fighter, as well as her perseverance through all difficult stages, especially when her companion was assassinated in front of her eyes.

The book has 280 pages.it was published by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, within the Palestinian National Movement Project.
The launch event was attended by members of the Liberation Organization's Executive Committee and the

Fatah Movement's Central Committee, as well as authors, representatives from several national groups, and several national figures. At the end of the ceremony, Mrs. Intisar Al-Wazir signed copies of her book for the audience.
