President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas, phoned Dr. Mamdouh Al-Abadi on Sunday, 15 August 2021, to congratulate him on his election as Chair of the Board of Trustees of Yasser Arafat Foundation.

The President affirmed his full confidence in the ability of Al-Abadi, and that of  the Foundation's Board of Directors, to advance the Foundation and achieve its goals.

In reply, Al-Abadi stressed the importance of the institution and its task within the framework of the Palestinian cause, as it is of paramount concern to  all Arabs.
