Yasser Arafat Summer Camps 2021

Yasser Arafat Foundation concluded its two-week summer camps program in coordination with partner institutions in numerous locations in the West Bank, including Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.  


Three hundred students, between the ages of 8 and 13, participated in this summer’s five camps.
The camps aim to invigorate the legacy of the late President Yasser Arafat, promote national culture and values and spirit of positivity  in Palestinian society.

 

This year’s summer camps featured a variety of extracurricular activities led by facilitators, utilizing interactive  techniques and tools to present information to children, such as drama, national and heritage songs, creative writing, storytelling, tour of the Yasser Arafat Museum, and educational games among others.

 

Yasser Arafat Foundation organized this year’s camps program in conjunction with five institutions in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip:
-    Jaffa Cultural Center – Balata Camp, Nablus
-    Al-Bustan Association – Silwan, Jerusalem
-    The Palestinian Society for Child Culture and Arts – Hebron
-    Palestinian Child Club – Kafr Nima, Ramallah
-     Bait Alsomoud Foundation – Gaza
