Latin American Ambassadors Visit Yasser Arafat Museum

Adelegation of seven Latin American ambassadors accredited to the State of Palestine visited Yasser Arafat Museum, Tuesday, the 1st of June 2020.


The ambassadors toured the museum following a briefing by Dr. Ahmed Soboh, Director General of the Yasser Arafat Foundation, on the Foundation, the  Museum, and developments in the current Palestinian situation.


Members of the delegation expressed their appreciation for the artifacts and exhibits that portray the integrity of the Palestinian narrative and the century of events in the struggle for Palestine until the martyrdom of the founding president, Yasser Arafat, on the 11th of November 2004.


The delegation included: Mr. Maher Taha, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela; Dr. Pedro Blanco Pérez, Head of the Representative Office of Mexico; Mr. Roberto Morales, Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua, Mr. Alessandro Candias, Ambassador of Brazil; Mr. Martin Laforge, Head of the Representative Office of Argentina; Mr. Christian Hodges-Nugent, Ambassador of the Republic of Chile; and Mr. Névil Montenegro, Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Ecuador.


Dr. Soboh and Mohammed Halayka, Director of the Museum, accompanied the delegation on the tour. 
The visit was organized in coordination between the Foundation and the general administration of the Americas and the Caribbean affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
