Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas laid a wreath of flowers in the mausoleum of Yasser Arafat, on Sunday, 11 November 2018, following a speech to thousands of Palestinians who gathered at the Yasser Arafat Memorial. 

Members of the Executive Committee of the PLO, Central Committee of Fatah, Secretaries-General of PLO factions, Yasser Arafat Foundation, local organizations, and foreign diplomats also participated in the ceremony and laid wreaths in the Mausoleum.

Yasser Arafat Foundation organizes annual events and activities to commemorate the anniversary of the passing of Yasser Arafat. The wreath-laying ceremony followed the 2018 commemorative program at the Ramallah Cultural Palace on Saturday, the 10th of November.
