The exhibition, Intifada, officially opened on Thursday, the 6th of July 2017, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the “Intifada of the Stones.” The exhibit features outstanding work of Photographer Keith Dannemiller and Sculptor Ahmad Cannaan, depicting the reality of Palestinians during the First Intifada.
Through his unique lens, Dannemiller captured resonant images of clashes between Palestinians and Israeli occupation forces, the process of detention, life at Israeli jails and hospitals, and the daily lives of Palestinians in villages, cities and refugee camps in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Nazareth.
Two sculptural works by the Palestinian artist, Ahmad Canaan , are also inspired by the popular resistance against Israeli occupation and represent the power of unity in times of war.
