A senior delegation from the Yasser Arafat Foundation visited the Ramallah Correction and Rehabilitation Center in Beitunia to strengthen ongoing cooperation and institutional ties.
The delegation was led by Dr. Owda Masharqa, Director-General of the Foundation, and accompanied by Fares Saqer, Director of Public Relations and Media. They were officially received by Brigadier General Hatem Ajaj, Deputy Director-General of Correction and Rehabilitation Centers, Colonel Ahmad Awadallah, Director of the Ramallah Center, and Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Al-Maghrabi, Director of Educational and Vocational Training Departments.
The center officials briefed the delegation about the essential services provided to inmates during the visit. The two sides explored ways to further joint social and rehabilitative efforts, improve reform programs and upgrade services for the welfare of inmates, all aimed at promoting successful reintegration into society.
The visit included a comprehensive tour of the facility, allowing the delegation to observe active reform programs, ongoing infrastructural development, and daily care services firsthand. Concluding the visit, both institutions reaffirmed the vital importance of sustained coordination and partnership. They emphasized their shared commitment to backing rehabilitation programs that prioritize the humanitarian and social dimensions of inmate care.
