The Yasser Arafat Achievement Award Committee has officially concluded its evaluation of nominations for the 2026 cycle. The final selection meeting was chaired by Dr. Ahmad Soboh, Head of the Committee and Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Following a series of extensive review sessions, the committee finalized the candidate shortlist. 

All submissions were strictly evaluated against the rigorous standards, criteria, and terms outlined in the award’s regulatory framework. The 2026 laureate is scheduled to be announced on October 29, 2026, at the Al-Muntada Hall inside the Yasser Arafat Museum. The ceremony will take place as part of the national commemorations marking the 22nd anniversary of the martyrdom of Palestine's founding President, Yasser Arafat.

 The final session was fully attended by all committee members, with the active participation of Dr. Owda Masharqa, Director-General of the Yasser Arafat Foundation.
