Representing the management of the Yasser Arafat Foundation, Dr. Ahmad Soboh, Chairman of the Board of Directors, accompanied by Dr. Owdeh Mashariqa, Director-General, and Ali Fares, Chief Financial Officer, laid a wreath at the tomb of the late great poet Mahmoud Darwish today, Thursday, 13 August 2026, reciting the Al-Fatiha prayer for his soul.

This gesture marks the 18th anniversary of his passing and stands as a tribute to Darwish's monumental role in shaping the Palestinian literary and national identity, as well as Arab nationalism. It also honours his legacy as a global ambassador who carried the narrative and just cause of the Palestinian people to the world.
