The Yasser Arafat Achievement Award Committee convened its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, April 27, 2026, under the chairmanship of Board President Dr. Ahmad Soboh, with all members in attendance, alongside the Foundation’s Director General, Dr. Owda Masharqa.

The meeting aimed to approve the official announcement marking the launch of the 2026 award cycle, which is set to be published on April 30, 2026.

The committee will hold further meetings to review nominations and proposals, which will be evaluated according to specific criteria outlined in the award’s regulations, in order to select a winner who meets the required conditions.

The winner is scheduled to be announced during events commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom of the founding president, Yasser Arafat, giving the award a distinct symbolic and national significance.
