On Monday, August 4, 2025, President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas welcomed a delegation from the Yasser Arafat Foundation at the Presidential Headquarters in Ramallah. The delegation included Dr. Mamdouh Al-Abadi, Chair of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Ahmad Soboh, Chair of the Executive Board; and Mazen Ershidat, member of the Board of Trustees.

The delegation briefed President Abbas on the outcomes of the Foundation’s 16th Board of Trustees meeting, held earlier that day at the Foundation’s headquarters in Ramallah, and discussed key issues related to the Foundation’s work and the development of its role.

President Abbas expressed his deep appreciation for the significant efforts of the Yasser Arafat Foundation in preserving the legacy of the late leader Yasser Arafat, reaffirming his full support for the Foundation’s mission and its vital national role.
