The Board of Directors of the Yasser Arafat Foundation held its sixty-third meeting on Thursday, April 10, 2025, chaired by Dr. Ahmed Soboh, with the participation of Dr. Mamdooh Al-Abadi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and other board members, in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
At the beginning of the meeting, a minute of silence was observed, and Al-Fatiha was recited in honor of the founding president Yasser Arafat and the souls of the Palestinian martyrs. The meeting also expressed
solidarity with the heroic prisoners, praying for relief for the people of Gaza and the West Bank.
The Board discussed the ongoing genocide, killings, destruction, and starvation in Gaza, as well as the escalating violence in the cities and refugee camps of the West Bank, especially in the north.
The Board was updated on the Foundation’s ongoing activities, events, and programs aimed at serving the Palestinian people and enhancing their steadfastness on their land. They were also briefed on the operations of the museum and approved the submitted financial and administrative reports.
Additionally, the Board discussed the upcoming sixteenth session of the Board of Trustees, stressing the importance of adding new members to the Board. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Board reaffirmed the necessity of national unity to achieve the aspirations of our people, to expel the occupation, and to rebuild, God willing.
