The Yasser Arafat Foundation and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education held a meeting with students from the Education Directorates who qualified for the second phase of the National Knowledge Competition for its eighth year, 2025/2024, on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Yasser Arafat Museum in Ramallah.

Both parties emphasized the importance of the National Knowledge Competition program and the need to continue and develop it in the coming years. They wished the participating students success and excellence in the spirit of fair competition.

They also stressed the necessity of national education beyond the academic curriculum and the importance of raising national awareness in light of the ongoing Palestinian cause. The students were recognized as the future leaders who will defend the history of Palestine.

The two sides recalled the distinguished students from Gaza over the past 8 years and expressed regret that they could not participate this year due to the ongoing genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation military machine.

The meeting was attended by the Director-General of the Foundation, Dr. Owda Masharqa, Eng. Midhat Faroukh, Eng. Majdi Abu Amoud, and Fares Saqr, as well as from the Ministry of Education, Assistant Undersecretary Sadiq Al-Khodour, Hamed Abu Makho, Nadine Toukan, and Rami Nawass.
