The Yasser Arafat Foundation and the Municipality of Al-Bireh met on February 25, 2025, to discuss enhancing cultural collaboration. Dr. Owda Masharqa, General Director of the Foundation, and Eng. Rubin Khateeb, acting Mayor of Al-Bireh, were joined by other officials for the meeting.

Dr. Masharqa shared details about the Foundation’s role in promoting Palestinian identity, preserving the legacy of Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian struggle. He expressed willingness to collaborate on joint cultural activities and gave the municipality several publications from the Foundation.

Khateeb highlighted the city's pride in hosting the Yasser Arafat Museum and Tomb, emphasizing its historical significance in presenting the Palestinian cause. He called for strengthened cooperation to further highlight Palestinian history.
