Dr. Ahmad Soboh Welcomes the Turkish Consul

On Monday, November 25, 2024, Dr. Ahmad Subah, Chairman of the Yasser Arafat Foundation, welcomed the Turkish Consul General in Jerusalem, Ismail Kobanoglu, at the foundation's headquarters in Ramallah. Dr. Owda Masharqa, the Foundation's Director General, and Mohammad Hlaika, Director of the Yasser Arafat Museum, attended the meeting.


Dr. Ahmad Soboh warmly welcomed the Turkish Consul to the Yasser Arafat Foundation and Palestine, highlighting the deep historical ties between the two countries. He appreciated Turkey’s continued support of the Palestinian cause, both from the government and the people.


Dr. Soboh provided an overview of the Foundation, its mission, vision, and objectives, as well as its various activities. He also discussed the approach to preserving and promoting the legacy of the leaders and companions of the founder, President Yasser Arafat.


In response, the Turkish Consul conveyed his delight in being in Palestine, particularly at the Yasser Arafat Foundation, which honors the historical leader of the Palestinian people and a global symbol of freedom and struggle. He reaffirmed Turkey’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause in international forums and reiterated the country’s commitment to providing ongoing humanitarian aid to Gaza amid the ongoing atrocities and genocide it is facing.
