Yasser Arafat Foundation Visits the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation

On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, a delegation from the Yasser Arafat Foundation, led by Chairman Dr. Ahmad Soboh, visited the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation in Ramallah. This visit aimed to strengthen the ongoing collaboration between the two organizations. Minister Ahmad Assaf, head of the corporation, warmly welcomed the delegation.

Dr. Soboh emphasized that the Foundation's primary mission is to honor the legacy of the founding leader, Yasser Arafat while safeguarding his material and moral heritage.

During the meeting, Dr. Soboh highlighted various programs and activities planned by the Foundation, such as commemorating the 20th anniversary of Arafat's martyrdom, the Yasser Arafat Achievement Award for 2024, the National Knowledge Competition, Yasser Arafat Summer Camps, and initiatives focused on preserving his archive and products. He also presented a film and book titled "An Unforgettable Life," detailing Arafat's journey, along with a collection of the Foundation’s initiatives since its inception, and the official poster for the 20th anniversary of Abu Ammar’s martyrdom.

Minister Assaf reaffirmed the commitment of official media to continue collaborating with the Foundation, ensuring comprehensive coverage of its events and activities while preserving the legacy of the founding president. Concluding the meeting, Dr. Soboh expressed appreciation for the efforts of the media teams, highlighting their vital role in raising awareness of important community issues. The gathering also included members of the Yasser Arafat Foundation, such as Dr. Odeh Masharqa, Muhammad Halayqa, and Fares Saqr, along with several officials from the corporation, including Muhammad Barghouthi, Muhammad Faraj, Ayed Owaimer, and Khamees Makho. They agreed to enhance cooperation and continue their joint efforts on various pressing issues.
