The Board of Directors of the Yasser Arafat Foundation held its 60th meeting on Sunday, August 11, 2024, chaired by Dr. Ahmed Soboh, with the participation of Dr. Mamdouh Al-Abadi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and all board members.

The board members paid tribute to the founding president and the martyrs of our people in Gaza and throughout the homeland. They addressed the ongoing massacres, killings, destruction, and starvation in Gaza, as well as the escalation of occupation attacks on shelters, medical, and journalistic personnel, supported and protected by American weapons and participation. They called on the International Criminal Court to expedite the issuance of arrest warrants against Israeli war criminals.

The board reviewed the decisions from the fifteenth meeting of the Board of Trustees, held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, and decided to start implementing them.

Additionally, Eng. Mousa Hadeed, Vice Chairman of the Board, was appointed to lead the Yasser Arafat Achievement Award Committee, and Dr. Ola Awad was appointed to head the Yasser Arafat Museum Committee. Dr. Ouda Masharqa was also appointed as the General Director of the Foundation.

The board agreed to schedule a meeting next month to approve the program of activities for the twentieth anniversary of President Yasser Arafat’s martyrdom and to finalize the Foundation's work plan for the new term.
