On Saturday, August 3, 2024, President Mahmoud Abbas welcomed a delegation from the Yasser Arafat Foundation at the Presidential Headquarters in Ramallah. The delegation was led by Dr. Mamdouh Al-Abadi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Dr. Ahmad Suboh, Chairman of the new Board of Directors. Jordanian Ambassador to Palestine, Issam Al-Badour, was also present.

President Abbas highlighted the vital role of the Yasser Arafat Foundation and commended the Board of Trustees for their efforts in strengthening the foundation's role and advancing its objectives as a key Palestinian, Arab, and international institution.
