On Thursday, August 8, 2024, the Yasser Arafat Foundation's Board of Directors, led by Dr. Ahmad Subh and including board members Dr. Ola Awad and Mona Khaleeli, along with Executive Council member Azzam Al-Ahmad, laid a wreath at the grave of the renowned poet Mahmoud Darwish. The visit marked the sixteenth anniversary of Darwish's passing and included the recitation of Fatiha in his honor.

This tribute reflects a deep appreciation for Darwish’s significant role in shaping Palestinian and Arab national identity and his powerful advocacy of the Palestinian cause on the global stage.
