On 13/3/2024, the Yasser Arafat Foundation honored poet Mahmoud Darwish on his 83rd birthday by laying a wreath of flowers on his tomb and reciting Al-Fatihah over his soul. This was done to recognize Darwish's significant role in shaping Palestinian and Arab literary and national identity, and in promoting the Palestinian people's narrative and their just cause to the world.
