President Mahmoud Abbas lays a wreath at the shrine of the founding leader, Yasser Arafat, on the anniversary of his martyrdom

Yasser Arafat Foundation organized a wreaths-laying event at the shrine of the founder and martyr Yasser Arafat Today, Thursday, 11/11/2021, on the seventeenth anniversary of his martyrdom

President Mahmoud Abbas laid the first wreath at the shrine of the martyr Yasser Arafat, and recited Al-Fatiha for his soul, while the military music played the martyr's peace, "The Melody of the Last Return."
The President greeted the officials, public figures and the diplomats present.
After the departure of the President, the Prime Minister, Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh, and a number of ministers walked towards the shrine, where they laid a wreath and read Al-Fatiha. Then members of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization laid a wreath in the name of the Liberation Organization, and members of the Central Committee of the Fatah movement laid a wreath in the name of the movement.

Then Dr. Mamdouh Al-Abadi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Yasser Arafat Foundation, members of the Board of Trustees, and the Foundation's management laid a wreath in the name of the Foundation and recited Al-Fatiha for his soul. Ambassadors and representatives of seven countries from South America laid wreaths with the names of their countries as well.

After that, large numbers of citizens assembled to read Al-Fatiha on his soul and lay wreaths at his shrine on the anniversary of his martyrdom.
