In cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Yasser Arafat Foundation launched “The National Knowledge Competition” in November 2017.
One hundred seventy (170) schools from the 17 northern governorates competed in the first phase of the competition, with three students representing each school. Of these, 18 schools were qualified for the second (pre-final) phase which took place at the Museum.
The six schools selected for the pre-final phase were:
1. Ramallah and Al-Bireh Directorate: Kufr Na’ma Girls School
2. Southern Hebron Directorate: Al-Majd Secondary School
3. Northen Hebron Directorate: Al-Shahid Yazan Secondary School for Girls
4. Jenin Directorate: Al-Khansaa’ Girls Secondary School
5. Salfit Directorate: Salfit Secondary School for Boys
6. Tulkarm Directorate: Atil Secondary School for Boys
The three winning schools in the finals were:
1. First Place: Al-Majd Secondary School
2. Second Place: Salfit Secondary School for Boys
3. Third Place: Al-Khansaa’ Girls Secondary School
